CCTV/Analog - Digital Surveillance

A video surveillance typically consist of several cameras connected—either hardwired to a switch or to a network video recorder (NVR) which records and display them to a monitor or handheld devices.   Irrespective of the number of camera and proper network availability, they work to send footage right to your computer or mobile device.

Factors to consider before you start

  1. PURPOSE - You must be clear with your requirement of having a video surveillance system. This can actually cut down the cost as well. Whether you need it for monitoring the premises or you need it for handling emergencies. Cameras are capable of sensing motions, facial recognition and some are even capable of sensing fire as well.
  2. CHOOSING THE RIGHT CAMERA- One of the factors you must consider is the camera angle. The camera’s viewing angle determines how much space the camera will cover. Wide-angle lenses reduce the number of cameras required to monitor. Second, is the quality of the camera. Whether you need an HD camera, night vision, mobile control or you need some additional functions such as tilt, zoom etc. The selection also depends on the area you want to monitor, outdoor or indoor. These are some of the factors you must weigh in before you choose the right camera.
  3. STORAGE OPTION - One question that comes to everyone's mind is how much storage do I need and where do I store and what are the options. Well, you can have multiple options to store. Again this is interlinked with the camera system you choose, the amount of footage you wish to store and how long you plan to keep the recorded footage.
  4. REMOTE CONNECTIVITY ON MULTIPLE DEVICES - depending on how many devices customer wants to view as well as the network capability, the system can be configured through cloud server or DDNS.
